North Carolina Youth Rugby Referee Society & NCYRU Presents Level One Referees Course

When: Sunday September 25th, from 9:00AM to 5:00PM

Where: West Meck High School, 7400 Tuckaseegee Rd., Charlotte, NC 28214

Why: With the continued growth of youth rugby in North Carolina, NCYRU is in need of qualified referees to handle games at the U11, U13, U15, and High School levels. To this end NCYRRS & NCYRU have teamed up with SERRS and USA Rugby to bring this course to Charlotte. NCYRRS & NCYRU are actively encouraging and recruiting new referees to officiate the youth game in North Carolina. 50% of each individual’s course fee will be reimbursed by NCYRU when a referee has officiated four youth games during the 2012 Spring Season

Cost: $65.00

$50.00 paid direct to USARugby upon completion of online registration

$15.00 made payable to SERRS at the door.

Once registered please note the following information.

After registering for the course, please send your confirmation email to Course Instructor Ken Muir (muirkb@appstate.edu). Students are encouraged to complete the online law exam prior to the course. Lunch & Snacks : Snacks & drinks will be provided at the course. You will be responsible for your lunch. It is advised that you bring a lunch with you to the course.

Is this clinic for the tackle game only?  If you are also teaching coaches how to referee flag rugby would you consider teaching the American Flag Rugby rules?  We are looking for ways to standardize the way kids and ref’s are taught/coached rugby.  We feel we have the most comprehensive set of laws.
