This Christmas Season, I want you to send all the Rugby Gear you’re not using to the TRY Donation Program. Gentle Giant Moving Company (Great Giant in NorCal) is donating the time and space the for the collections!

Coach Burke and I brainstormed on how we could get a set of practice jerseys to the Oakland Warthogs.  We figured, since we both have 3 or 4 jerseys laying around not being used, so do 100s of Rugby Players across the US.

Most Rugby Old Boys could double as Santa’s:  Big, Fat, Jolly, and Rosy Cheeked due to the…Cold.  Ahem.  Why not ruck all the way through, and be a RUGBY SANTA this Christmas, by donating your old kit to TRY Donations?  Oh, and we need Mrs Claus too, since the Women’s game in the US is growing faster than a belly on a prop.

TRY has partnered with Gentle Giant Moving Company (Great Giant here in NorCal) for our 2013 campaign.  Rugby Santas and Mrs Claus’ can simply drop off or mail your donations to the GGMC location nearest you.  Here’s the list of participating Gentle Giant warehouses across the country:

Youth Rugby is exploding in the US.  We started TRY Donations three years to help Youth Players in need, like the Oakland Warthogs.  We’re not asking for money, just the stuff you’re no longer using like jerseys, shorts, boots, balls, cones, and TACKLE BAGS.  Box it up, get to TRY via GGMC, and you might be kitting out the next Olympic Champ!
