About Us:
Penn Women’s Rugby is a passionate, student-run team with members at all levels of experience.  During our competitive 15s season, we compete in the Ivy League, and during our development season we play both 15s and 7s against a variety of Philadelphia-area teams.  We are hoping to find a coach who shares our passion for rugby and positive attitude.

Expectations and Responsibilities:
A coach would be expected to help plan and run two-hour practices, usually on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.  During practice we aim to help players at all levels grow and develop as athletes, while continuously learning about new aspects of rugby.  Our coach would collaborate with captains to design effective game plans and strategies.  A coach would also be responsible for attending and coaching at all games and tournaments (transportation provided by the team.)  We are able to compensate a coach in the form of a yearly stipend.

Qualifications:
We are looking for a coach who has at least Level 100 coaching certification with USA Rugby, although Level 200 is strongly preferred.  We are hoping to find someone with previous coaching experience, but most importantly we are searching for someone with a thorough understanding of rugby and significant experience as a player and/or referee.

Anyone interested in applying should email a resume and short personal introduction to Miranda van Dijk at upennwrfc@gmail.com.  We are also happy to answer any questions about the position.
