Round 1 Match Previews & Predictions – 2021 Rugby World Cup

2021 Rugby World Cup

We’re 4 days away from the 2021 Rugby World Cup finally beginning! The tournament was set to be played last year but was pushed a year like the Olympics due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Over 30,000 tickets have already been sold for the opening weekend and sales will go up until the matches begin. These numbers are set to break the standing attendance record of 29,581 from 2021 when the Barbarians defeated South Africa in Twickenham. It would also draw the largest ever attendance at a standalone women’s sporting match in New Zealand (not just rugby).

Read on for our match previews and predictions. To see the entire 2021 RWC schedule how to watch and see results, go here.
