Women’s Rugby Rundown for Oct 23-29

Welcome to the Women’s Rugby Rundown for October 23-29. Scotland and Ireland emerged as the inaugural champions in WXV 2 and WXV 3, respectively. Italy secured a 30-8 victory over the USA with five tries in Cape Town, although they narrowly missed out on the inaugural title to Scotland due to points difference. Ireland staged a remarkable comeback at The Sevens Stadium, coming from 10-0 down to secure a narrow 15-13 victory and claim the inaugural WXV 3 championship. In WXV 1, we saw big wins from the Black Ferns and England while Australia caused an upset by defeating 3rd-ranked France for the first time in 13 years. WXV 1 will conclude this weekend.

In Premier & Clubs News, the Allianz Cup pool stage wrapped up with Saracens, Bristol, Gloucester-Hartpury, and Exeter  clinching the top two positions in their respective pools. Additionally, USA Club D1 witnessed shifts in the Midwest and PNW Premierships, while D2 experienced lead changes and swaps in standings across more than half of their divisions.
