2024 Vancouver 7s: Schedule, Viewing Options, and Results – Feb 23-25

The HSBC SVNS 2023-2024 series continues forward with its fourth stop in Vancouver, Canada. Ireland claimed their inaugural 7s rugby Series triumph, overcoming hosts and current SVNS leaders Australia 19-14 in a thrilling final in Perth. 

In Perth, Great Britain secured the bronze medal, and the USA finished in fourth place. When we look at the overall standings, Australia leads with 58 points, trailed by New Zealand at 46, France in third with 44, Ireland rising to fourth after their title win with 38 points, the USA maintaining steadiness at 36 points, Canada at 32, Fiji at 30, and Great Britain holding the eighth spot with 24 points. As the Olympic year unfolds, Australia remains on track, but with intense competition, each team presents a formidable threat.

The standings are becoming more distinct with a division emerging between the top 8 teams and those contending in the relegation play-off competition. In Madrid, the top eight teams after six rounds will vie for the Series championship, while the teams ranked ninth to 12th, along with the top four from the Challenger Series, will engage in a high-stakes relegation play-off.

HSBC SVNS 2024 Schedule

The HSBC SVNS 2024 will feature seven regular season events plus a Grand Final. The top eight placed teams based on cumulative series points at the conclusion of the seventh round in Singapore will secure their opportunity to compete in the new ‘winner takes all’ Grand Final in Madrid, where the women’s and men’s HSBC SVNS 2024 champions will be crowned.
