Be a Rugby Santa This Holiday Season

Taking heat from your significant other for the growing number of rugby jerseys in your home, closet, dresser, or on your floor?

Ever think… maybe I should get rid of a few before I end up on that hoarders show?

Want to make a difference in a young and less fortunate rugby player’s life?

Well, here’s your chance to become a Rugby Santa.

Kevin Sullivan of Rucking Insurance has teamed with Rugby AmericaPaki’s Corner, A Giant Awakens, and Your Scrumhalf Connection to help connect old jerseys with youth rugby players in need.

What are we looking for?

Jerseys, jerseys, and more jerseys. We’ll also take shorts, balls, boots, and any other usable gear you’re looking to get rid of. Well, not all of it… you can keep your crusty old mouth guards.

How can you help?

Let your friends know, let your clubs know, and spread the word. Everyone will have gatherings over the coming weeks. Turn your club’s gathering into a Rugby Santa event. The Holiday season is short, but here’s a chance to give a lasting gift to ruggers in need. The gear we get together will go directly to youth rugby teams, particularly ones that are in at risk communities and often cannot afford practice jerseys.

If you end up piggybacking a Rugby Santa event with one of your holiday gatherings, get some pictures of your club with the donations and send it to us. We are happy to post the pictures to let everyone know you were able to donate to this cause!

Once you have the stuff together, you can send it to any of the participating sites or click on this link for information on sending gear directly to Kevin Sullivan at Rucking Insurance.

If you want to route stuff through Your Scrumhalf Connection, please email me at wendy@scrumhalfconnection.com for further information. Your Scrumhalf Connection will then front the shipping on sending a bulk load to Kevin on the West Coast.

Now, go out… be merry, collect some jerseys, help some kids in need, and have a happy and safe Holiday season!
