2023 Women’s Premier League Championship Overview

The 2023 Women’s Premier League (WPL) season has been nothing short of extraordinary. With a renewed emphasis on professionalism, the league has undergone significant changes, including a reduced number of teams, an expanded schedule, and a revamped postseason format. These transformations have infused a new level of intensity and anticipation into the WPL, setting the stage for the highly awaited upcoming postseason.

Semifinal Showdown

The semifinals delivered thrilling contests as the Berkeley All Blues took on Beantown and the Colorado Gray Wolves faced off against New York, all competing for a coveted spot in the WPL Championship. Berkeley, the defending champions, clashed with Beantown, and at halftime, the visitors held a narrow 17-12 lead. However, the All Blues mounted a remarkable comeback with three tries in the third quarter, ultimately securing a hard-fought 31-24 victory. Meanwhile, the Colorado Gray Wolves hosted New York, and the third quarter proved to be a heart-pounding affair, witnessing a total of four tries scored between the two teams. In the end, the Gray Wolves emerged triumphant with five tries to New York’s three, resulting in a final score of 31-21.

Admission and Broadcast
